Hey dutch, thanks for stopping by.

Harris-Teeters will usually have the Nut Brown Ale and, if I'm not mistaken, also the Oatmeal Stout. I think Total Wine and More locations seem to have more of a Samuel Smith selection than anywhere else, though, so if you have one nearby I'd swing by there and check.

Thanks for stopping by, Jym!

If I'm not mistaken, Dogfish released this beer this month (it was supposed to be released in late April). I'm going to look into picking up a fresh bottle, since the bottle I reviewed had some age on it. The aged Squall was so good, I want to see just how good it can be fresh!

Might just do that! I love oatmeal stouts and $5.99 is a great price for something from Goose Island. Interesting that here in NJ we can't get Goose Island products, but Trader Joes has something with their label slapped on it! Just my luck that they're going to discontinue it - maybe someone else will fill that slot?

I hear you, Scott! I have a cup (or two) of coffee every morning, and a glass (or two) of beer a night. In between those are about 90 ounces of water to keep me somewhat healthy.

A local place now has Great Divide's Espresso Oak Aged Yeti on tap -- I'm thinking about picking up a growler of it.

I really appreciate you stopping by and commenting. I promise I'll get better about getting some new content up, so feel free to come back and visit!

I know what you mean, Scott. I guess I have the time to write, but I really don't write as often as I should (as you can tell by my lack of posting recently).

Let me know if you do start writing anything else, as I'm a good reader!

Thanks for dropping by, Scott!

My favorite of that list -- the Stockyard Oatmeal Stout -- is not going to be brewed in the future. I think Goose Island said there was just not enough demand in the market for it, as more and more people go to hoppy and sour beers.

It's a shame, really. It's such a solid beer, and cheap, too. I'd definitely recommend heading to Trader Joe's to see if they've still got it before it's too late!
